REDEFINING WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN

A writer, artist, and systems thinker exploring how humans and machines can create together. K Allado-McDowell founded Google’s Artists + Machine Intelligence (AMI) program, pioneering collaborations between AI researchers and artists worldwide. They have co-written three books with AI and composed Song of the Ambassadors – an otherworldly opera co-created with intelligent systems. In their TED Talk, Our Creative Relationship with AI is Just Beginning, K outlines three principles for a future where technology preserves – and amplifies – what it means to be human. Their project, The Known Lost, archives extinct species in a global-scale artwork of remembrance.
